Grillini Racing confirmed today that they will be returning for the 2013 World Superbike championship for a second consecutive year, with a new rider and a new main sponsor.
And the rider that gets the seat is 30 year old Vittorio Iannuzzo on a BMW S1000RR and sponsored by Dentalmatic.
Vittorio Iannuzzo, a World Superstock champion (in 2002 with Alstare Suzuki) and then spent several seasons alternating between World Superbikes, World Superstock and Supersport. In 2011 he rode for Team Lorenzini by Leoni and in 2012 for Power Team by Suriano where he finished 9th overall in the standings. The Italian rider will get his first chance to ride the BMW after the testing ban in January - when the team will travel to Phillip Island to prepare for the season opener.
It´s not Scassa! ParkinGO team owner Giuliano Rovelli announced on his twitter account that Christian Iddon will ride for the team in the upcoming World Supersport Championship in 2013.
David Salom will return to World Supersport in 2013, the 28 year-old Spaniard, who was runner-up in 2011, signed a deal in the last few days with Kawasaki Intermoto to race a Ninja ZX-6R and aim for the title.
