ABS S1000RR

I would like to remove the ABS pump from my 2012 S1000RR and I have the Race Calibration Kit 2 so I can disable the ABS.

I understand I will need the "Deckel ABS-Druckmodulator" when I remove the pump but I'm wondering if I still need the "DTC Steuergerätestecker, eliminiert ABS Funktion"?

I was thinking that I don't need it because I can disable the ABS with the RKC2. Any thoughts?

Again, sorry my the English but you can respond in German!

you can go both ways, as far as I know.
Either mount the plate "Deckel ABS-Druckmodulator" to the modulator in front of the battery instead of the big alloy-block. But you might have an ABS-error in the display, nothing more. All functions working properly.
Or you eliminate the whole block with that plug "DTC-Steuergerätestecker". No error.

Best way: Call alphaRacing and ask, what you need for sure.
Ganz schön wird's zum Glück nie.

Already got reply from AlphaRacing!

Hi Jurgen,
thanks for your request and the interest in our products. We recommend to use the DTC controller 3451A014A00-01 for best results in performance and also weight gain. This will allow the removal of the full hydraulic unit including the controller of the DDC and connect the alpha Racing DTC box to the OEM loom. The backing plate for the hydraulic unit 3451A001B00-01 will not be needed with this DTC controller.

Best regards,
Jens

So with the DTC controller 3451A014A00-01 I can remove the complete hydraulic unit and still have the DTC.

.. right ! But its the expensiv way. You can see the answer from 3.#34.
Buy the plate -> Its the same effect. Only with side effect that the abs - lamp constantly will glow.
For this, use PANZERTAPE

@Jurgens, my experience with such AR part is not very promising:
such part results in a major difference in the calculated slip (front wheel speed vs rear wheel) and as such the DTC receives a "wrong signal".
I have done some test rides with the AR part vs the orig ABS block, logged the data and send the data to AR. Result: after a lot of lip promises, no action by AR.

So my recommendation: just buy the cover plate and save your money to go to the gym to cope with the few more grams of the cover plate solution.

If you need more details, send me a PN.
Once a decision has been done, never explain, never apologize.

I have also removed my ABS, but I didnt buy the extra Part to set ABS off...

I Sent my ECU to an German Engineer who is able to unlock ABS

Because that is right what elsen00j says. (Different Front and rear Wheel Spin)

elsen00j Exactly what I was afraid of, that the result after changing to the AR part wouldn't be the same anymore. Not that I'm so fast and really have to rely on the DTC but I rather see it not changing.

So I will follow your (and also from the others) advise and just get the cover plate.

Rico53, I already have an unlocked ECU with the Race calibration kit. Perhaps that will result in the same?

Thanks a lot for all the answers!
