Hi Calvin,

COVID-19 REQUIREMENTS AND GUIDELINES
Due to the COVID-19 state, county, and track restrictions, these are the guidelines for precautions we want to take to ensure the safety of everyone at the track – staff, instructors, and most importantly, you, the rider.

Water will NOT be provided by RideSmart.
If you're sick, stay at home. Let us know and we'll make arrangements.
For the safety of everyone on the premises, and in accordance with the Governor's Orders, all persons must wear a face mask or covering indoors, while at registration, in class, or anytime within 6' of another person not in their household (indoors or out, including garages), or just keep your helmet on.
Please maintain a respectful distance away from your fellow riders and staff. We ask that you spread out in the paddock more than normal and park your vehicles approximately 8 feet apart from each other and avoid personal contact.
At registration, please bring your two RideSmart waivers (Regular and Oil) to turn-in, pick up your level sticker and helmet sticker. Temperature checks will also be performed at Registration. Please maintain social distancing, there is limited capacity in the registration area. Please wear your mask or helmet in Registration.
Garages must be limited to 8 or less riders and one mechanic/helper per rider and social distancing and masks must be adhered to as stated above.
For Tech Inspection, please have your helmet on and Level stickers applied prior to arriving at Tech.
Except for restrooms, the Lofts, and the Level 1 First Timers classrooms, all enclosed areas are closed.
Second floor lofts are open for "rehab". Masks are required and social distancing is required. Capacity is limited.
Hand sanitizer is available and restrooms are open for your hand-washing needs. That said, it never hurts to carry personal hand sanitizer, just to play it safe.
There will be no Track Drive.
There will be no indoor Rider's Meeting. We will announce and hold a Rider's Meeting outdoors near Garage 2 on the Pit Road side. During the meeting, please maintain social distancing and mask requirements. Supplemental Rider’s Meeting information is contained in a document you can download below. We’ll also have them available at the event, but please make sure you read and understand the document. Email us if you have questions. We may call smaller groups to meet for announcements, please maintain social distancing or wear a mask if closer than 6' to someone not in your household.
Click here for the Rider’s Meeting Supplemental Document
There will be no classroom for Level 1.5 and Level 2. For Level 1 First Timers, you will meet in the upstairs loft after the Rider's Meeting. You must wear a mask. Please do not re-arrange seating as it was been designed to maintain social distancing. If you want to receive instruction in Levels 1.5 or 2A/B, instructors will be available (Garage 1). You may get with an instructor, but no more than 3 persons may interact with an instructor at any one time and must maintain appropriate social distancing (6’). Instructors will also be available on track in Levels 1/1.5 and 2A/B if not directly working with other students. They’ll be watching and will seek you out to help you out. See the Rider's Meeting Document for more information. If they work with you, you’ll be given a piece of tape to place on your helmet. This lets us know who has been worked with and who still may need assistance. Please leave it on all day.
Most instructors keep their cameras running on track, so bring a portable drive, memory card, jump drive, etc. and we'll be happy to copy any footage we have for you.

und gleich hinterher noch die vorab Fahrerbesprechung - auch etwas anders als ich es bisher in D erlebt man, man lese bspw den Strafenkatalog:

COTA 11/28‐29/2020 RIDER’S MEETING Welcome Riders to the November 28‐29, 2020 Event at Circuit of The Americas! Due to the COVID‐19 state, county, and track restrictions, this document will serve as a Supplement to your outdoor Rider’s Meeting. Please read and make sure you understand everything in the document. Vendors are here! Hart Photography, South Central Race Center (tires), On‐Road/Off Road (suspension).

MEMORIZE: Learn the track! You absolutely cannot go fast until you have learned the track. Use the X’s for turn in references. Be careful in turns 10, 11, 12, 19 and 20, that’s the most common areaswhere we see run‐offs and crashes.
RUN‐OFFS/FALL‐DOWNS: Don’t try to return to track until you can do so safely (it’s very easy to hit the lip/edge of the cement and crash), make sure you don’t bring debris back on the track (there are very few areas of COTA where you can get off pavement). Exit and see the Pit Marshal or Track Marshal.
AMP IT DOWN: Track is always cold and green in the morning. Be careful sessions 1 and 2, amp it down (slower in straights, brake earlier).
MONITOR YOUR CONCENTRATION. If you find yourself “blowing corners” it is time to sit out a session and get some rest.
HYDRATE: Drink lots of water. Stay hydrated (you should bring water for this event as we will not be providing food or water).
SEE SOMETHING UNSAFE? If you see someone being unsafe, be able to describe them and exit and inform the Pit or Track Marshal. Don’t wait!
FUEL is available near the facility entrance. DO NOT RUN OUT of gas on the track! $50 fine if we have to come and get you!
SPEED LIMIT: Paddock and Pit Speeds are 15mph, including Pit Road (next to Pit Straight).
SESSION ORDER: Level 3 will go out first, then Level 2A, then Level 2B, then Level 1 (1.5 and First Timers). 20 minutes per group/session. We are planning on a lunch break at approximately noon for one hour per COTA rules.
PASSING Rules: Level 3: we ask for courteous passing. For Levels 2 and 1/1.5: in the morning, there is NO CORNER PASSING IN LEVEL 2 or 1.5. Passing is ONLY allowed on the major straights (T20‐T1, T1‐T2, T2‐T3. T10‐11, T11‐12, T12‐13, T15‐16, T19‐20). In the afternoon, there is NO INSIDE CORNER PASSING IN LEVEL 2 or 1/1.5. OUTSIDE CORNER PASSING IS ALLOWED ONLY IN SESSIONS 4 and subsequent sessions. Level 2 and 1/1.5 must maintain 6’ from any rider being passed for ALL passes in all sessions. There is never passing for Level 1/1.5 and Level 2 in turns T3‐T6 and T7‐T10 (the S’s). Listen for announcements as passing rules may change depending on conditions.
GRID CALLS will generally be made at 10 minutes, 5 minutes, and then Final which means the track is hot.
ENTRY and EXIT: If you have paid for a garage spot, you may exit the garage and turn left to the grid. Those in the paddock must enter on the NW end of the garages, between the two major buildings. Turn left to go down to the Track Marshal, make two rows as indicated by the cones. DO NOT CROSS THE BLEND LINE WHEN ENTERING TRACK AFTER BEING RELEASED BY THE GRID MARSHAL. For track exit, SIGNAL between T15‐T16 and/or T18‐T19 and stay to the left after T19 to exit. DO NOT DRIFT OR DRIVE TO THE RIGHT AFTER T19 IF EXITING.
WHEELIES: No Wheelies! We know a wheelie from a power wheelie!
HELMETS AFTER CRASH: If you are off track (crash, run‐off, mechanical), ONLY REMOVE YOUR HELMET if you need the AMBULANCE. If you remove your helmet we will RED FLAG the session and send the ambulance out. If you make your way to a corner station awaiting a mechanical pickup, you may remove it helmet at the station. If you do crash or run‐off, try to move yourself and bike to a safe area.
LEVEL 3 MINIMUM: Minimum lap time for Level 3 is 2:55.
ONE WAY on the track, never stop for any reason.
LISTEN FOR UPDATES AND INFORMATION ON THE P.A. THROUGHOUT THE DAY!
11/28‐29/2020 Revision 7.0 FLAGS
Yellow Stationary: issue off the line, no passing.
Yellow Waving: issue on line, slow down, no passing.
Red: slow down, exit ASAP. No passing. DON’T BLOW THE RED FLAG!
Black: Check bike for issues, get off track immediately if any found. Otherwise, exit normally and see the Track or Pit Marshal. DON’T IGNORE A BLACK FLAG. ALWAYS ACKNOWLEDGE THE BLACK FLAG.
Blue: Stay on line but slow down on straights to allow riders that are faster in the corners to pass.
White: Indicates checkered flag is imminent.
Checkered: Session over, exit track. DON’T BLOW THE CHECKERED!ON‐TRACK ISSUES/RULES General Rule Violation (Illegal Pass, 6’ Rule, etc.) Causing Another Rider to Run off or Striking Rider Causing Another Rider to Crash/Rear Ending Rider 1st Time Verbal Discussion with Instructor or Marshal Sit Out an On‐Track Session Banned for up to one year2nd Time Sit Out an On‐Track Session Done for the Day3rd Time Done for the DayLEVEL 2 and LEVEL 1/1.5 SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION

Remember, smooth throttle and braking. Generally, in Level 1.5 and Level 2, the rear brake is not used on the track. Speak to an instructor if you are in Level 2 if you have questions about using the rear brake.
TRAIL BRAKING: Speak to an instructor for information and tips on trail braking and exercises.
Always keep your focus in front.
Ear Plugs are helpful and available from instructors.
Check and make sure Tire Pressure is appropriate for the track. If you are not sure, ask the Tire Rep at SCRC.
If an Instructor passes you and “tail taps”, follow them and if they exit, exit with them. They may tell you to meet with themafter the session and will work with you the following session(s).
Instructors are available! They will be happy to help you, if you see an instructor and wish to get their help, they will giveyou a colored sticker/tape to put on the back of your helmet for identification. Instructors can only interact with 3 studentsor less at a time when off session. We’ll maintain 6’ social distancing in the paddock. Instructors may also pull you off on the track to give you some pointers. They may place tape on your helmet to indicate they have worked with you, please leave the tape on all day. Most Instructors are in or near garage 1. ROUND‐ROBIN – IMPORTANT, PLEASE READ!!! The first session for Level 2A, 2B, and Level 1/1.5 will be the Round Robin. Riders should make their way to the Track Marshal/Grid and line up as indicated by the Marshal. When the track goes hot, an instructor will lead a group around the track. The group will consist of 6‐8 riders. The rider behind the instructor should follow EXACTLY single file behind the instructor and subsequent riders single file behind the rider in front of them. Pay attention to turn in points (X’s) and other track reference points as the instructor shows you THE LINE. On the Front Straight, after T20, the instructor will signal by raising their left arm and moving it in a circling motion. The rider behind the instructor should move to the LEFT, slow, and allow the other riders to move up behind the instructor. The slowing rider should move back into the group as the end rider. This should be accomplished before you reach Turn 1. The Round Robin will continue for several laps, switching riders each lap. Several different riders will get to be directly behind the instructor. NO PASSING ON THE ROUND ROBIN, NEVER PASS THE INSTRUCTOR. Maintain CONSTANT SPEED except when changing positions. STAY IN LINE WITH THE INSTRUCTOR’S REAR WHEEL! At the completion of the session, the Checkered Flag will be displayed. Your instructor and everyone in the group will signal and exit the track. HAVE A GREAT DAY!
